Baby's on Fire

I'm excited to go to Powell's tonight to join our wonderful literary community in celebrating Liz Prato and the launch of her short story collection, "baby's on fire," published by Press 53. I met Liz about 10 years ago at the Pinewood Table. She brought something new to those weekly classes. A fierceness and honesty and a passion to bring her work into the world. And she made me want to be a better writer.

So it is very, very satisfying to see her collection of short stories come to the world. Her stories are vivid and the characters are messy in a delightfully real way.
